Default Listen to my engine

Clip is from a 2002 XK8 I just bought. My build date from engine stamp shows second generation tensioners. Posted on the XK8 sub-forum but same engine so posting here also. Listen for ticking after rev drops. Link below:

102k miles. Tons of maintenance receipts going back to 2010.

I’d pull the valve covers and maybe use a bore scope to look at the chain guides down below. Another telltale would be to pull the oil pan and check for plastic pieces on the bottom and look inside the oil pickup screen.

Default Cold start (97 degree day)

Not hearing tic on cold start. Video was warm engine start.

My first thought was to inspect the oil pan as previously suggested.
That reveals a wealth of info and guidance of where to look further.

Planning on that soon. Got a lot of around the house honey dos promised wife first. Few weekends from now I’ll report on the oil pan, pulling valve covers and bore scope results.
