Default A little help need on parts names and parts numbers RESOLVED

PICTURE#2 Can someone please give me the correct number of these U type clamps that are located on the radiator for helping to secure the fan shroud in place? IF anyone knows where I can purchase them along with the part number I'd be grateful.
Thanks in advance. Chris

PICTURE #3 I'd also like to know what tool to use to open this clamp. The plastic from the old water pump just broke off. There is a piece that remained in the hose. Any idea or tool I might use to correct this problem would be of great help.

Thanks Kyle!! That's a big help!

Anyone else can give me the part name/number of the clip holding the hose? What tool can I use to release the clip from the hose? The old thermostat assembly piece that attaches to the hose broke off. I need to get that piece out of the hose and attach it to the new thermostat housing? I'm sure it's something simple but I don't want to damage it and if I do damage it, I want to have the parts number close by so that I can quickly order and replace. Thanks again Kyle and to whomever else can help me out.

Google Norma Clamp. You squeeze 2 of the 3 together to clamp and then a different pair to unclamp. i do remember it being a norma clamp. i did a quick check www.normapacific.com. has a pdf for the clamp

NORMA CLAMP

1. To OPEN - squeeze the 'shoulders' arrowed in red together
2. To CLOSE - squeeze the shoulders arrowed in blue together

'Norma' is a trade name and they produce a variety of clamps.

Avern 1 THANKS!!

Graham, double thumbs up and thanks for the picture that was super detailed!

Tomorrow I'm going to put this knowledge to use along with clamps ordered to get everything put back together!! After putting the front end together and doing the coolant, I can head towards the fuel tank to replace the fuel pump and filter.

The factory uses these small 'Norma' clamps on the expansion Tank and the larger type on the main Radiator hoses for two reasons:

1. speed of assembly on the production line
2. they give a constant and pre-determined tension on the connection

Number (2) is important with plastic cooling system components. Many members replace Norma clamps with worm drive clamps. Great care has to be taken with worm drives because it's very easy to over tighten them and damage plastic cooling pipe outlets.

Graham,

After I was able to release the clamp, remove the old plastic broken piece, I replaced the clamp back on based off your information. I'm trying to keep my car with as much of the original connectors as possible. Ran out of time and complete the job when I can (reinstalling the radiator, fan shroud, coolant replacement, and all pieces needed to complete the front task).

Once again, thanks to everyone who's contributed to my progress on this task.

Chris
