Question location, lost rear and back side panel lights

on the way home last night i got a compliment on my car but at the same time the guy said," hey did you know your back lights are not on"?
sure enough although i was close to home i pulled over and no lights. the break lights are working as are the directional s.

no indication on the display that they were not working either....i thought this a bit odd as i have had the classic "check rear lights message " a few weeks ago..turned out to be a loose connection/bulb on the rear side passenger light.took care of this, so i am thinking must be a fuse or possibly two as all rear lights are out don't work when you turn the light stalk on the column .....so night driving for me until i get this fixed.

anyone know which fuse box/compartment and number that controls the rear lights.....since everything is out i am hoping its just a fuse or two. i need to look at the owner's manual of course to see if i can find the fuse i need to replace.

appreciate your help and suggestions.

i notice there is a thread now on fuses/fuse box location....need to look at it...but in checking vehicle care manual and for the issues i have.....and my own confusion over labeling.....here is what i come up with....

where to look?......seems like luggage compartment fuse box-electrical carrier
which fuses?.......seems like a few possibilities and some confusion....
fuse number 19....controls right hand side lamps, left hand and number plate lights , caravan/ trailer. i am assuming the caravan/trailer term is the british description for rear lamp/lights essential for night driving.

than there is fuse number 21....for left hand side lamps , left hand and right hand sidemarker lights , caravan /trailer..

both fuses are 5 amp. i don't have operative side r-l fender lamps....but jag badges.

as my license plate lights are also out...i am favoring fuse number 19 first.as my reversing and stop lamps work fuse one must be ok.....but here is the complication/confusion.....fuse 8.....controls high mounted stop lamp , caravan /trailer stop lamps....perhaps i'm over-interpreting but now i am thinking it can't be fuse 8....as window mounted break light and rear break lights work...

so and because 19 controls license plate lights and they are out...looks like fuse 19 needs to be replaced......and because fuse 21 controls the left rear side light that also needs to be replaced, unless there is a series here and replacing 19 will give me back my rear night lights/lamps....

am i on the right track ?

Looks like there are a lot of Auto Zone stores near you.
The fuse puller/tester gives you a sliding 2 pin tester (adjusts to fit both of the fuse pins) and a puller (that fits into small space where these fuses are placed).

The term Caravan I believe refers to something like a boat trailer that is part of a tow package.

Here is a online article about Jaguar XF towing an Air Stream trailer and winning the UK Caravan contest:

Jaguar XF wins best UK caravan tow car award - National RVing | Examiner.com

I think you are right about checking fuses 19 and 21.

Actually, if you need the fuse tester/puller and fuses, you are better off buying the fuse assortment kit at Advance Auto Parts - that is maybe even closer to your location:

Bussmann Fuse Kit no. 44 for $16.49 includes the same tester/puller and 42 piece assortment of blade fuses - (7) each of the following fuses - 5 amp, 10 amp, 15 amp, 20 amp, 25 amp, and 30 amp.

Order on online - with pickup at one of the local advance auto stores (no shipping cost) - Use promo code TRT30 - 30% discount.

Total net cost is $11.54 plus sales tax.
