Default Looking at a 2008 XJ8

A local seller has a 2008 with 95K miles for about half the low Kelly Blue Book at 4.5K. I am thinking of offering 2.5K. Car is in decent shape, interior is very good, exterior has some paint peeling on front bumer, runs nicely but is not nearly as nice as my near showroom1998 XJ8 nor does it have any maintenance history. This is the 4th owner. You guys that have owned both, what do you think? As usual I don't need the car. LOL

Try posting on the X350 forum where you will find members with that series car.

Actually, I was looking for comments from people that own/have owned 308s and 350s for comparison purposes. I own a 308.

It's a sexy Ford Taurus.

I don't own one myself, but have driven both the x350 and the x358 from friends several times.
The car receives a lot of criticism from us x308 owners, but as a stand-alone, it is by far one of the best looking sedans of its time.

Due to the larger design, its interior feels a bit empty and sterile if you move over from a x308, but that feeling fades quickly.
It is still providing the Jaguar standard with leather, wood and other nice materials, especially the more luxury versions, and it is simply larger for those who like that.

I should say that once you get used to its larger size, on average they ride better than a x308, more direct, probably just more modern.
And the Supercharged is a total blast, totally different league than a x308 SC.

As a semi-classic, the x308 can't be beaten, but a x350 or x358 should make a nice and practical daily driver.

Yeah I drove my former business associate's often & it was just generic in all aspects for me. The interior is reminiscent of a Ford Taurus or the bigger Ford Five Hundred in actuality I think the five hundred is a better car.

Thanks for the responses. The guy got a far higher offer, around 6K, so my offer was laughable. Since I have a 1998 XJ8-L , it did not feel that much larger than my car except that it appeared much taller and the seats were higher and I agree that it has that large Ford look.
