Looking for carpet replacement
Hi all,
My VDP is finding the end of its carpets life. Simply shampooing and vacuuming isn't the answer, I have spots of wear and missing thread.
I've searched rather extensively for the straight forward solution of an OEM molded replacement. But this doesn't exist in the US that I've found.
I've yet to contact my local Jag dealer (trying to avoid that heart attack price moment, if they even still can get it) and I have an upholsterer who could do the work and I'd get a plusher finish from him.
But I want to know if anyone else has done this and found a DYI OEM replacement? I've had my seats and council out before and this is as simple as it gets for auto carpet replacement, lots of space. I'm amazed its not readily available. My Vette was a b***** for such a small interior, lots of heat gunning to get the mold to sit correctly.
I appreciate any assistance you members can render....cheers.

When I refurbished mine, I found a near-perfect OEM carpet at Jaguar Heaven in California. It came out of a pristine XJR that had been T boned. They cleaned the glass out of it, and I had it shampooed and vacuumed several times to make sure there was no glass left in it. You could call them and see if they have something in similar condition. That might be as close as you can find to a new carpet set.

HH, these folks advertise complete carpet sets for XJ sedans and list up to the XJ40, I wonder if they are worth a call?

I guess my point is that I wouldn’t hesitate to order from this company again. If their carpet sets are anything like the floor mats, they are really good quality.
