Default MAF O-ring

Just putting a general request out for what appears to be an obscure item.

The O-ring on my MAF has stretched and split, it's useless. I can't seem to find a part number for just the O-ring. My local auto parts store doesn't have O-rings that large.

Does anyone know where I can source one? Anyone have one they'll sell me? If it's attached to a known good used MAF for an XJR then I might by the whole thing, if the price is reasonable; just to have a spare on the shelf. I would rather just acquire the O-ring, however.

Thanks,

I think you should measure it, and take it to an O ring store/specialist.

O-ring store? California must be a pretty cool place to buy car parts.

I'll check when I get back to my shop this afternoon. I should have something that fits.

That's what I was asking for, thank you!

BobRoy, if you have a good one I could just keep yours and send a few extra dollars back with your MAF. Your MAF has a good O-ring, but I didn't want to send yours back without it. If you have a replacement, I'll just buy the one I already have from you and send your MAF back without one.

If they are the same as N/A, I think they are, then you can use the oring off my MAF.

I have an XJ8 MAF on my shelf, came off of a 2001 N/A. The O-Ring fits that one as well, so it does appear to be the same.

Unfortunately the one on my shelf also has no O-ring.

Thanks BobRoy, I'll try to get that MAF shipped off tomorrow sometime. Thanks again for the loaner.

I believe that's a $60 o-ring. Just kidding.
No hurry. Whenever you get a chance. Glad I could help.
