$120 for an oil change!!!!!! Ah, that is a bit high. You can go to any dealer and get the same level of service for about $40. Unless they are putting in full synthetic, even then, it would run you $80 total. Granted, Jag wasn't recommending full synthetic for the 03 vehicles (atleast the X-type). As for the 80K service, I would want to hear what all they are including in on that. Every dealership has a different idea of what the 80K service should be. Some do a lot of inspections, others do a lot of fluid changes. So, $800 may not be a bad price, but if they are charging $120 for an oil change, I will place money that they are doing a lot of inspections. If you were in the MD area, I would tell you to come on over and we can do most of that right in the driveway and that way you can see exactly what your vehicle looks like and what to look for. Part of it is that you are in SoCal. They tend to be higher in the price range. Hell, take a drive over to Las Vegas, drop your car off there, enjoy a long weekend and have some fun. The difference in cost will be very minimal and you get a small vacation out of it too.

Azurc, look in the Passport To Service booklet in your car for a list of items scheduled at 80K miles. It's an oil change and a visual inspection, not much more. Jaguar published a time guide for the various services, but the pricing and upsells which may be attached are determined by the individual dealer, to the best of my knowledge.
You might be better off searching here for referrals from other owners for an independant Jaguar specialist in your area, and obtain expert service at a fair price.

I just changed the oil in my xk8 and used Castrol Edge full synthetic @7.99 a quart x 7 qts= $56.00 and throw in a jag filter $20.00. and pay yourself $50.00 an hour and there you have 125.93. minus taxes, environmental fees, the dreaded shop supplies........etc. BUT the Castrol Edge has a 15,000 mile change interval, as does the new Mobil 1.
