Hello
I have a Jaguar xj8 3,2L from 99.
it is very likely instrument pack is broken.
I have spent many hours searching and it all goes back to service S484, same fault.
after Done service s484 fuel lever is ok, but rest is not showing anything.
And I have oscilloskope so I can see disturbence when Connect instrument to canbus.

But Where to repair it? I have called a lot of people and no one have spare parts, Too old…
So Houston I have a problem…

and buy an old one is all about Vcats, LJD4300HB is my number.
can not find…anywhere…
Some people say buy same year and gearbox, but I would like to have correct vcat of possible.
Any suggestions?

The LJD4300HB is the part number but the SUFFIX /xxx is what you need to be concerned with.
The suffix is software part of the unit and needs to be correct.

The 3 digit suffix will be printed on the VCATS label in the boot.

The X308 INSTPK units do NOT need configuring to the car but................. The mileage will be what the 'other-car' had on it if you buy a used one from a salvage car.

Thank Motorcarman for your attention to xxx. 303, last three numbers.
I been told they can change the software for the last three numbers?
To make possible searches of IC a Little wider
Right, Wrong?

my complete number LJD 4300HD 303

But where to fix this problem? I just want to be able to drive this Amazing car again, without Christmas tree in the IC…

Thank you JagV8 I Will follow advice.

But it seems like no spare parts (instrument cluster) and to my small knowledge, you can not even repair the IC?
I have called Companies to repair my IC in Sweden and England and Germany and… same answer.
Either to old IC and they do not have knowledge but in England they might have knowledge but no spare parts.

Anyone have knowledge to repair IC to Jaguar xj8-99?
I would be very happy!

Hi
just to follow up on my jag xi 2000
instrument cluster ljd 4300hb 303
My ic was repaired by atc drivetrain and I had contact with Craig H.
Very Professional.
it is impossible to buy used if you want exact Vcats Ljd 4300….and you need it… no shortcut like they say…but have not tried so.. Will not Either
My instrument cluster was damaged after shortcut s484.
atc drivetrain took my data, hb 303,on the old board and programmet it into a new one.
Thanks atc drivetrain for keeping my jag from scrapyard!

if you want long version let me know.
search for the error was like chasing a ghost.
I have Done Many hours on this car…
