Default maximum tire size for 2000 xj8

Whats the biggest tire size you can put on this car (obviously talking width) without rubbing. Probably thinking 18" rims. And if anybody knows ,max size with lowering springs.

Most common is a 275 on a 10" rim, but you can go larger if you roll the guards. Even then most people don't go above a 285 though.
Check out wheel and tyre sizes for the optional 19 and 20's for XK's. If it fits them, 99% sure it'll fit an XJ, with rolled guards

Not all of us drive 8's, some of us have R's, and love the subtle aggressive changes that make it stand out. A nice set of wheels and another inch off the ride height do this perfectly.

Nobody's suggesting covering it in wings and fluro stickers. He just wants to know, based on others experience, what will fit without causing issues. I don't see any harm in that.

Also, 275 really? i wouldve thought like 255 max. Im still dont exactly understand offset but would that make it possible to rub. and what about front tires?

these are factory upgrade XK wheels, which other members on here have run successfully on their XJ's
???????????BBS 20??????????? - ????!

fronts are 20x9 +30 offset, and the rears are 20x10 +25
you should be able to comfortably run 255 fronts and 285 rears on something similar, but you can go for 245 and 275 if you want to be safe

At least you wouldn't have the same trouble with shipping costs as I will!
