I am getting more and more frustrated as I try to decifer the problem with my '99 XJ8-L's driver seat memory. Up until yesterday, the seat, side mirrors, and steering wheel all went to their correct positions when the corresponding memory button (1, 2, or 3) was pressed. Now, I have tried to program any of the 3 buttons and only the steering wheel and mirrors move... the seats move normally when adjusted manually, but no memory. Anyone know what's up?

Also, I noticed that the black plastic piece that houses the memory buttons and light (on the driver's door) sometimes gets quite hot.
