Just discovered the '97 Daimler Eight LWB I recently bought did not come with the Special Socket which is used to undo the Locking Wheel Nut. I know I can get a replacement from a Daimler/Jaguar dealer, but I'll have to buy it in the U.K. or U.S.A. There appears to be a numeral "1" stamped on the top face of the nut for identification. There are two slots cut into the outer circumference of the nut and they are almost exactly 180 degrees apart.
I'm thinking of "breaking-up" this Locking Wheel Nut and replace it with a regular wheel nut on all four wheels. Has anyone managed to "dismantle" this Locking Wheel Nut and how did you proceed?
