Default Missing weatherstripping

The weatherstripping at the bottom of my left A Piller fell off. I know it’s not sold separately as a part and comes as part of the chrome piece it’s attached to. Does anyone have an alternate to buying a complete chrome piece? Can we get a separate weatherstripping piece? Has anyone customized one? I understand this rubber is prone to disintegrating and buying a used 20+ year-old chrome piece with the weatherstripping attached is bound to have the rubber disintegrate again.

I attached a photo of my missing piece from the left side and a photo from my right side that still has the weatherstripping.

Quite some years ago I made my own replacements for the drip rail finishers and posted about it here. They are still holding up perfectly.

pdupler,

Thank you for the link. That is an interesting solution. I will try it if I can’t find a part. I know I’d have to buy the whole chrome drip rail and then I’d simply be getting another old piece of rubber that will eventually disintegrate like mine did. I wonder if someone could make these with a 3D printer?
