Default Modification possibilities for an XJ8/XJR

Well I got my dad in the mood for a fun car on the side and he loves jags...we had a 99 XJR and we're thinking about getting another.....

it would look great on coils/bags with a nce set of BBS
here's one we're looking at:
http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...dSegId%3D28705

same exact thing we had before...
I need to do some research on J-complete japan and see what they used to slam their jags...
They also offer lip kits and spoilers and even ECU tuning kits..... (questionable)

ƒMƒƒƒ‰ƒŠー ƒWƒƒƒKーX308 ‚s—l

maybe do a little stanced/VIP style.... while having 400hp and being able to rip burnouts and donuts haha......

2010 Dodge Challenger Commercial | Jjizzle – Where the slammed people hang

"1998 Jaguar XJR 5.2 13.7"

1998 Jaguar XJR 1/4 mile Drag Racing timeslip specs 0-60 - DragTimes.com
2000 Jaguar XJR 1/4 mile Drag Racing timeslip specs 0-60 - DragTimes.com

So this company "Eurotoys" is one of the only aftermarket performance avail for them.... a different SC pulley, some exhaust work, some tuning, maybe some coilovers (need to be custom fitted I think) nice set of BBS..... nice 12-13 second luxury sedan....... for around 15k after some mods...

let's see what happens..... this is just an idea for now
when's the last time you saw a slammed classic body jag XJR?

I'll be looking around the forum for ideas and past modifications but it seems there isn't much......

I definitely want to try and get in touch with J-complete for pricing on some items, and to ask what they used to lower their x300/x308 jags and to see if their ECU tune is real or just another "OBDII chip"

also, I need to research the EuroToys mods because it seems those who used some of them got some pretty decent improvements... 12 second 1/4mile times? nice....

So yeah, time to do some research.....I deff also need to look for cooling possibilities becasue thats pretty much the most important performance part you can improve...

There are plenty out there depending on how much cash you wanna drop. I've got almost everything in mine. Headers and Cats on the way. The one thing that will make the most differance is if you swap out the rear end for 3.77 gears as apposed to the OEM 3.06's. Go Eurotek for tuning for sure and do the stack pulleys. The Borla Exhaust is decent too. Buckhead imports has some pretty cool options as well. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice man! I'll look through everything and see what comes up.

Have you tracked or dyno'd you jag? how much is it pushing? 0-60? 1/4mile?

lmk!

Eurotoys, Eurotek, Paramount Performance, Mina Gallery, Nameless Performance, Buckhead imports. They all have mods for the XJR

Thundercat I'm in the process of having the ECU recalibrated by Eurotek. Where is the ECU located? Also how did the ECU tune work out for you? What differences have you noticed in the XJR since the ECU tune?

The ECU tune is awesome. It's a whole different car after the flash. The computer i believe is under the compartment on the passengers side where the hood latches into.

Sending the Jag to Buckhead imports for a bunch of stuff. Headers, cats, ported heads, os valves, High lift cams, and more. Those guys do some great work. Check em out if you want some serious performance.
