Default Mods - Can I Make a Suggestion?

I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds here but I had a thought and wanted to throw it out there. I've been searching threads trying to get an idea of what things cost and who to buy them from and when we can and cant use Ford parts. The "common" replacement parts seem to be:
Chain tensions
Fuel Pumps
Water Pumps
T-stat housings and tstats
Door actuators

I'm sure I'm missing somethings but my thought is we could get a sticky and if someone finds a deal somewhere they could submit it to a mod and/or post it up. It may help organize things for everyone and let the help the vendors become more competitive with their pricing.

Apologies if I overstepped my bounds by throwing that out there but after searching for prices and vendors for about an hour I know something like the above would have been very useful

Thanks!

It's an OK idea but a huge amount of work to maintain such a list.

If you're looking for a good deal on something the first place to go is our Vendors & Advertisers, there are special offers & discounts available to forum members.

We have a search by Tag system that could be used.
New threads have a Tag section where the forum member can assign up to 5 tags to the thread before the new thread is submitted.

As far as I know there is no way to add a tag to existing forum threads.

I tried a work around to this issue that seems to work by creating a new forum thread that has a weblink to the existing forum thread on the heating hose we call the octopus (5 way hose). I assigned Tag names to the new thread.

Here is the weblink to that forum thread:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ent-tag-94520/

We could create some new threads that have direct weblinks to specific posts that have price information about a certain part. Each of these new threads would include the pricing tag names.

There is a quick way to access the Tag search by going up to the top black title bar (that starts with UserCP, then Photos, etc) and click on Search (to get dropdown menu), then click on Tag Search.

Just a suggestion on how to work around the issue.

Here is example on a direct weblink to a specific post in XK forum sections where I posted the secondary tensioners part numbers and prices -
weblink before it is turned into its compressed form below (jaguar forums xk8-xkr-17/does-anyone-know-cheapest-place-buy-upper-tensioners-104992/#post908385):

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...92/#post908385

The weblink takes you directly to post number 7 using the post direct key #post908385.
