Default MPG difference with/without Traction control

Curious if anybody has put effort into discovering if there is any change in fuel economy when the traction control is turned off?
I notice a difference in handling/sense of road, but I've just started a new tank of gas with the intent of driving through the tank without traction control just to see...

Also, what are your thoughts overall on fuel with vs. without ethanol?
I guess that would be a whole other thought....

The traction control makes absolutely no difference to MPG. Don't bother pressing the button everytime you get in the car.

Default Why not?

Curious... why not press Trac Off button every time you ascend to the Jag throne? As long as it is not raining/snowing, it seems that you will have more fun/more feedback...

afaik TC reacts only when the wheels start slipping, that is by far not often, only maybe in every sharper curve out of the city and on every accel...

oh wait.

Traction control makes a huge difference in MPG, leaving it on saves a lot of gas... I turned it off for a day couple of months ago, and got an average of 4 MPG:

Who needs traction control when you have an LSD?

Just forcing the auto box to second gear when going in to corners.

What suspension modifications have you done to that XJR? It appears to have less body roll through the corners than I would expect. Maybe it is just the video camera correcting the lean angle?

No modifications, it's a standard US spec XJR suspension (comfort springs, no CATS) with original shocks that have done 81k miles. I also expected it to roll a lot more when going to the track. It's true that body roll may not be that visible on camera, but I'm certainly leaning quite bit in the car.

Here's my fastest lap of the day (not a very good lap though), and there's probably a bit more roll as I'm pushing it harder.

I LOVE that you forgot to empty your change tray before the race! hehehe I often loose change when I accelerate..

REALLY really enjoyed those, thanks for sharing. Those other cars never knew what hit them.
