My remote/keyfob is having issues
My remote has been becoming decreasingly reliable, and so I figured it was dying. I had to press the button several times before it worked.
I bought a brand new one, and I programed it, and its now doing the same thing. I figured its probably the sensor in the car. Does anyone know where the unit actually is, so I can take a look at it?

Can we assume the batteries have been replaced? If you moved the battery from the bad remote to the new one, that may be an issue.
Have you ever cleaned the contacts inside the remote? Use Rubbing Alcohol on a Q-Tip and get the Gold Contacts and the Rubber Contacts clean and try again. Where you've replaced the Remote, it's not as likely, but maybe they were both exposed to the same source of dirt/liquid?

the control box is under fusebox as x300man said.
my remote is the older type apparently, where the rubber buttons have some sort of conductive coating on them that wears away, I used contact adhesive and kitchen foil cut into small squares to revive mine.
