Is my subwoofer blown?

Is my subwoofer blown?
Okay, in response to https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...g-49904/page3/ I have put in a new amp and now there is indeed sound to the subwoofer, but the quality is not great - if above anything but moderate bass, it sounds like there is something loose in the subwoofer, almost like there is a piece of paper lying on top of the driver. Pressing on various bits above and below the read deck does not change the loose-piece sound.

Most probably, the cone's surround is shredded - 10 years+ of sunlight invariably destroys the foam.
I replaced mine - bought a kit for around $10 - and it took about an hour (+ the labor to remove and replace the speaker). It's as good as new now, generating decent bass and no 'fuzz'.

I repaired mine with the kit from Speakerworks. Cheap fix and it sounds like new.
