seeing the metal being replaced always makes me think there must be a better alternative to salt on the roads. It's killed so many Jag's!
I hope the painter really treated the areas well with red oxide and zinc etch primer, then shutz.
Looks well. Us UK Jaguar owners don't insist on leapers, chrome, extra bling, it's not required! (Unless your name's Stuart ;-)

@xjr4life
It looks the business now. I love the blacked out window frames, sadly in the US we have to have shiny bits and leapers :-(

This was the best colour I could find that hid the chrome as much as possible.
Seeing the pictures of your floorpans makes me really glad I left Blighty and moved to California where it's nice and sunny and doesn't snow !
Great to see a car being brought up to 110% again. Take care

thanks everyone for all your comments and feedback, i refuse to drive this in the rain now or when roads are salty such a shame jaguar was weak with the metal used in such a great car...
i saw this xjr in blue very nice car had lovely paint work and have to say the chrome on that car looked very nice i think chrome suits dark colours but you're right it being silver i prefer without the chrome,
anyone got pics of their xjr put some pics up t be great to see them...
love them wheels at the moment i use them when the cars going bodyshop or mechanics bbs splits will be back on in a month i think i got a mental problem lol but its all good
