Mysterious P1637 Code

Mysterious P1637 Code
So after taking my Jag out for a somewhat long drive I pulled into the driveway and put into park (still idling).
I whipped out my scan tool to check to see if the driving tests have completed yet (trying to get that damn p1111 code). Just after I plugged it the tool my brake light and abs light came on. Read the codes and got a P1637 code (and p1000 of course). I did NOT perform a clear.....
JTIS says it is a CAN bus communication error or something about ABS failure.
I turned the car off, researched it, went back out and started it again and the lights were off.... I re-scaned it and the code was gone.
I wouldn't be worried except I've spent an epic weekend bleeding the brakes.
It is possible to get this error if the ODB2 port shorted out or I just inserted the plug weird?
I've never had this code. Now worried that yet another thing is about to break
