Default Help Identify mystery part?, looks like black plastic hose connector

Any guidance where this part needs to be reinstalled / replaced and how to complete the repair?
Vehicle: 2002 VDP, 71k miles
Found this on garage floor:
Black plastic
1' diameter x 1.5" length
Ridged exterior
One end has inner cylindrical fitting
Other end has bowled reducer
Inside opening ~ 0.5"

First pic shows as it was found on the garage floor. Where the car was parked, this was found just left of center between front axle and firewall.

I have not yet been able to look underneath the car for any additional clues.

Really appreciate the advice of this group.
Thank you

That plastic part is placed in the bolt hole for one of the long bolts holding the front subframe to the body.
The bolt won't fall out of the 'tube' if the plug is in place and it is (the bolt) loosened/removed.

Not necessary but probably for assembly line installation.

Default Front Suspension: Crossbeam Retainer

Thanks for responding. Am I correct that the bolt must be missing for this retainer to have fallen out?
Sound like this could be pretty important and indicate that the bolt / screw could be missing. Or am i misunderstanding?
Does car need to be towed to shop for repair?

I did just find it paging through SNG Barratt catalog section for x308. page 53
It is Retainer, Genuine Jaguar part, Product Code:MNC2298AA, Special Order $11.28 plus shipping.

Nothing to be concerned about, it's basically a plastic bung to stop water/dirt entering the subframe, the bolt it covers will be torqued up.

I was lying in bed last night and realized that the bolt I was remembering was the MOTOR MOUNT BOLT, not the body bolt.

The bolt part number is JFS11035E and I think it is a T40 or T45 TORX.

Sorry for the confusion.

Does this mean I need to get car to shop?
In SNG Barratt, p53 it looks like:
Retainer: MNC2298AA
Bolt: JFS11035E

The bolt is not loose. Just the plastic plug fell out. It has nothing to do with the mount, just the cover of the bolt.
