Here is a photo of the passenger side of the dash (2001 XJ8 - US model - click on the weblink to view the photo):

Are you asking for information on the glovebox door or the lower panel that goes from the bottom of the dash fascia (top) down and around the glovebox door?

Here is an Ebay listing for the entire dash fascia (upper cover antelope and lower cover oatmeal) just $95.20 free shipping:

I looked at the area below the glovebox in our 2001 XJ8 and I did see all the wiring harnesses there, but there is no facia panel there.

What is there is the lower heating/air conditioning outlet (a black plastic part) that blows air on the passenger feet.

Unless our vehicle is also missing a panel (which is doubtful), I would conclude that there was never a panel below the glovebox on these XJ X308 model years.

+1

I recall having the Glovebox out of my 2001 XJ8L and there was no fill panel below the lower fixing screws for the lid (arrowed here):

Unless you lie with your head in the footwell, it's very difficult to see that area..........
