Nav button

If you don't have the navigation system, that button does nothing and it's only function is to impress your friends. Look in the trunk/boot on the left side - If you see a stack of two black boxes, you have Nav. If you only see one black box (CD changer) you don't. Navigation was extra cost, even on the Vanden Plas.

the nav is DVD based, the player is located as boomer suggests in the boot, it's situated underneath the cd changer. If nothing happens you've not got it installed, although checking the boot loom around the cd changer, you may find your car is equipped with a nav loom, in which case you can buy a nav dvd player and plug and play. You would have to buy the correct part number for model year, and the dvd disc.

And you will find it is as good as a chocolate ashtray. Better using a modern up to date a cheaper SatNav than trying to get the car's one to work. It only works with the stereo on and whenever it's about to say anything it chimes that same "Bong" sound you hear when the seatbelts sign is lit on an aeroplane.
