I have a 99 xjr and the head unit went bad got one from a 01 i believe but the back panel is diff. need wireing diagram for both to make it work...old model num aj9800a new one aj2000w or will swap the aj2000w for a aj 9800a

I believe that they are the same head units, for those two years.

 

same shape diff plug ins in back and newer one is set up for nav. cd changer plug in on 9800 is also din whereas on a2000 is a harness

 

Okay, I stand corrected... Hope the diagrams give you what you need to cross over.

 

Not saying it in a bad way just explaining the prob...I though they were the same also so I bought on and now gotta go inside it a move so things around due to diff female quick connects.
