Need Help Removing Door Latch

I have three doors with bad microswitches and attempted removing one of the rear door latches. After getting inside I disconnected both door handles (int and ext) and the latch itself from the door. Everything was loose. I could not get past that point. Am I supposed to remove the window frame next? I hope not...

By microswitch do you mean the actuator motor? If so, when I replaced mine I simply unscrewed the actuator from the latch and screwed the new one in while it was still in there. The back one was kind of hard to get to but used a little ratcheting screwdriver with just a screw gun tip on it.

Sorry I wasn't clear. There are (I think) three little electrical contact switches in the door latch. When I open one of the three faulty doors, I get no interior lights, puddle lights or open door warnings. I also get occasional false alarms which really suck. I'm just trying to remove the latch from the inside of the door and I might have to remove the lock actuator that you mention. So thanks!
