Just bought a 2000 jaguar xj8 with only 47k miles;
Looking to do a full replacement of chain tensioners with all third party upgraded parts with all new chain guides etc. and to replace my water pump but not my thermostat as it was already replaced before i purchased the car.
I am not comfortable at all doing this work myself, no matter how many how to's i read or videos i watch, and due to my work schedule i don't have them time either.
For ***** and giggles i called the dealership to ask how much they would charge for this and they quoted me at $3,500. So thats out of the question..
Getting to the point, what i am looking for is possibly a link to a website where i can purchase ALL of the EXACT parts i need as well as a link to where i can purchase ALL of the PROPER tools and, if by a miracle of god, the holy grail of an instructional guide with step by step instructions to do this work myself that would be so informative it would rid me of all doubts...
I however don't think there is a guide that would be this informative so what i would really love is to find a local jaguar enthusiast in Louisville, KY that has done this work before and that would be willing to help me do this for cash and maybe a few beers in return.
Of course this is all precautionary, nothing has failed yet.
Thanks in advance for the help!

CHRISTOPHERS FOREIGN CAR PARTS
Christophers has everything you need. Water pump maybe cheaper at Amazon, but lots of great suppliers, many sponsor forums.
There are many threads on this forum relating to replacing the tensioners.
The basic parts can also be had from your Lincoln dealer, which will save the S&H. But Christopher will rent the tools.
