Need parts / advice for 2000 XJ8
Hello friends!
My 2000 XJ8 won't start. A local mechanic told me that the alternator, battery, and brake pads/brake rotors all need to be replaced. It's a right-hand drive by the way.
Could you please share some advice, about getting either used parts from someone else in the forum, or a recommended trustworthy website for ordering all of the above?
Thank you so much!

Hi
I found another forum thread where the Alternator parts were found and used to rebuild it:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ild-fyi-58290/
The reason I thought to research the parts available for X308 (XJ) was that I have had the good fortune to be able to replace the brushes in the alternator for our 1990 Acura Legend.
The snap-in set of brushes are available at our local Acura dealership.
It does sound like the Jaguar is as easy as the Acura alternator fix.
