Need some advice, XJR Supercharger
I was thinking about rebuilding and porting my 2003 XJR eaton supercharger. My car has 96,000 miles and i have been getting the feeling that my power from my supercharger is down.
The rebuild/porting should be good for 30 hp at the rear wheels and a pulley will add more.

I know I used to get a lot of hp from porting and polishing and balancing on chevrolets in the 80's, but my experience with Jaguars is that most of that low hanging fruit seems to have been picked by the factory. While there are things that can be massaged to get a little more hp, I think they pretty much got it right, in a balanced way. If you would have told me that you could get 150k miles from a supercharged 4 liter motor that put out 370 hp in the 80's, I would have thought you were smoking crack. As for the hp problem you believe you are facing, could it be that you are just getting used to it? Try driving an xj8 for a while, then you will re-appreciate your xjr. If you decide to rebuild yours, you can often find one on ebay for about 500 bucks, which would allow you to rebuild and then remove and replace in one day without down time. Then you could relist your supercharger on ebay for 500 bucks. I would probably keep it so I could say I had an extra...and fill shelves in my garage.

Eurotoys/PSE Superchargers along with another porting company state that they increase the HP and also add the pulley for extra boost.
I'm assuming they know what they are talking about since others on this very forum talked about it.
