New bumper?

I was in a rear ender on the freeway. No real damage but the bumper took a few deep gouges and the paint is all peeling off in largish pieces.
It is a 19989 VDP, so the bumpers are painted to match the car. Problem is the car is purple..., er..., Amaranth.
Any thoughts about how to do this most economically? Salvage yard? Not likely to have a purple Jag bumper, it was a pretty unusual color.
Ot should I just resign myself to a messed up bumper.![Frown](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)

Hi
I did a search on craigslist los angeles website for jaguar rear bumper and found:
White bumper from 2001 Vanden Plas (1997 - 2003) $200 or best offer
JAGUAR BUMPERS
Here is photo of another purple 1998 XJ8 I found on Ebay:

if you don't want to involve your insurance co, source yourself a bumper of whatever color from someone parting out a car or ebay/craigslist (as suggested above). if you are very patient you might be able to find one that is your car's color. otherwise get it, sand it down and get it all ready for paint. then you should be able to take it to a body shop with all of the paint preparations done and have them paint it your color for a few hundred dollars. you can also have them do all of the preparation but it will cost you a bit more
