New Cats

Just installed new Nameless Performance catalytic converters on my CALIFORNIA 2001 XJR. These are the hi flow Cats and they are amazing. The car seemed sluggish with the stock restrictive cats. These have literally opened up the respiratory tract of my XJR, almost like I am driving in sport mode. I am very pleased, the workmanship is as beautiful as our cars are and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a better alternative, even in the not so emission friendly state of California.
Thanks to Jason at Nameless Performance!

Hi Scott,
congratulations on the purchase. I'm also interested in high-flow cats. Did they make any difference to the exhaust sound/cabin noise? Have you had any hint of trouble with the check engine light? Did you fit them yourself... and are they easy to fit?
I've been pondering whether to go with high-flow cats or a cat-back exhaust, sounds like high-flow cats maybe the better $ spent.
Cheers,
Steve

Hello Steve - No, I have not noticed any increase in sound, and I am not one to deviate from stock too much; therefore hi flow Cats and stock exhaust (at least for now)
. I certainly don't want it to be noisy as to me that would be out of character for a proper English luxury saloon!
No check engine light, or any other issues. I could have installed them myself, but lately I have been too busy at work so I had my Jag mechanic friend do it. I'm glad I did because he encountered some stud breakage which was a bit of a pain.
I don't know which car or model year you have, but if you buy from Nameless, make sure they will fit prior to ordering. The ones I ordered will fit either an XJR or XKR 2001 to 2003 without a flex coupling.
Take care,
Scott
