I had one in my last build.....well a few builds back anyway. Very very nice sounding deck and with the Matt R mods its about the cleanest deck out there. With the 31 band equalizer and time alignment it can make a system sound amazing. The Stereo Integrity speakers also are amazing and I have replaced multi thousand dollar components with them and was as pleased as could be. For $400 for the components they are truly world class speakers. Having 1700 watts on hand will really make them shine. Cant wait!

Post details/info on your sub build, I'm interested in reclaiming some trunk space & my two Memphis Audio 12s in box are going to go for something smaller footprint-wise.

Its a Stereo Integrity SQL 12" Prototype. Production ones should be available in a couple months. Its in a 1.05cf sealed box with 1/2 lb poly-fill. Will be powered by an 1100 watt Arc XDi amp. This is a new design by my friend Nick that owns Stereo Integrity and sends me all his new stuff for review so i will have one in a week or so. This sub is a cross between the BM series (that I have in my truck) that are XBL2 motors and amazing sound quality and then he mixes in some of his HST series sub tech (which I have in another car and on 500 watts you literally cant breath). So they will play loud, super super accurate and extend down below 7hz in the tiny sealed box.

You think he'd be interested in fabricating & selling another X308 sub unit ?! Is 12 the biggest that will fit in that side space, because I don't want to lose anything audio wise moving from 2 twelves to a single so maybe 15 will be best.

Yea after looking further I can see nothing bigger than a 12 will fit in the sides like that. If I go single sub I guess it's going to be a 15.

Really its in the quality of the sub. For instance this sub can handle 1000 rms and can play below 7hz. It will outperform the vast majority of subwoofers out there. They then have the HST 12" and I have a pair of those in another car that on 500 watts (250 per sub) will quite literally take your breath away. I have a few videos of them stroking a 6hz not with ease and they are rated for 3000 wRMS but I am scared to put that much power on them. Previously I had a Boston Acoustics G5 10" sub in a .6 sealed box. I loved giving demos in that car because people loved the bass and were sure I had a pair of 12" subs in the trunk. Their face was always priceless when I would pop the trunk and they would see that single 10" in a super tiny box.
If you go with a high quality single 12" you will be able to have more bass than you ever need. Like Illusion C12XL, Audiofrob GB12, Stereo Integrity SQL 12, AD Vipera F12 or MM 12, Sinfoni 12 and even the super shallow SI BM MK V sub (which I have in my truck)

Or you could go all out like a friend did in his X308 with an emminamce 12"..... cars bass is unbelievable.

I just got the 2002 XJR that I purchased in July inspected and registered today. I think it's the same color as yours, and the broker called it "Quartz". So, I wonder what color it really is... Here's a photo.

Never mind, I googled 2002 colors...it's Quartz Dark Gray Pearl Metallic. What a mouthful. Anyway, I really like your car...especially the Quartz Dark Gray Pearl Metallic color. Seriously, the treatment on your wheels is on my list. Same for a stereo upgrade, By the way, I just finished replacing both fuel pumps to get my car mine running. Ugly job. I'm in the DFW area. Regards

Well discovered why the factory Alpine DVC 6x9 sounded so bad.......

I am very happy with how its turned out. Was finished late today and still have to get some pictures. Sounds fantastic and I am blown away how much midbass there is being they are mounted to the door cards. Granted there is like 25 lbs of deadner in each door. lol
