He only gave me the block codes...when I get it ill mic all the journals so I can get the proper bearings

I know it's getting late where you're at but I found this image of a crank from a 5.0 Jaguar look at the end of your crankshaft where the flex plate was mounted on the flat surface it's up against the flex plate and see if he can see letters like these

I just went out and look all over my crank and didnt see any numbers.

When you get a chance give me the block code of your engine and the black code of the engine of the crank is coming from I like to check something out

I was ill informed. The crank code is on the block. When I replaced the piston and rod bearing on my 2000 xk8 I was told that the code for the crank was on the end of the flex plate. Since I was not going to remove the transmission just to get the code I measured the bore and journal. I don't rember if I read it somewhere or was told by someone.

So with the codes you showed me you can figure out what bearings you need. Use your block code and the crank code from the block that the crank came from.

I found that a crank from a 00-02 lincoln ls 3.9 will go into a aj26.lincoln crank specs are for main journal dia is 62.001 and rods are 56.007

I also found that the ls crank has a shorter stroke so I dont know how they fit the ls crank in the jag 4.0.

Is the only crank I can get have to be from a xjr.found one alot cheaper that came out of a 00-02 s-type 4.0
