Default New version X308 oil drain plug

Planning on annual oil change Friday so stopped by Jaguar Dealer to buy the overpriced drain plug. $11+
P/N I had was AJ8003017.
This has been superseded by a new P/N/drain plug AJ813202

New one is silver colored rather than black like old one & has a thicker O-ring that is easily removed although Jaguar doss not sell the O-Ring separately.
See 2 photos old vs. new.

I plan to dip my finger in new oil to lubricate the larger O ring on the new plug b4 I install it. I never did that on the old ones.

New vs. old X308 drain plug

New on R side wi thicker O-ring
