I know its been a while but I have got back on the case...... I really was not happy with the arches, they just was not enough, so decided to make my own
These arches do not have to be perfect, like the bumper there will be copious amounts of filler but these are just plugs once painted I will make moulds and produce composite panels
Much better!
I then started looking at the bumper, I reshaped it slightly and plated up one side, because of larger arch this caused a step into the bumper so I carried the arch profile down and around. I also shaped the vent at the front.
I wanted to change the front lip of the bumper to give it a splitter look and to pick up what will be the sill line, you can see the pen mark I roughly worked to
I think I managed to pick up the edge rather well, I also continued the contour around and faded it out as it went to the wheel arch.
Happy so far, still got to beat it about a bit to position everything a bit better but so far looking good......

This is a show car ..... it will be photographed a lot...its going to appear on custom car covers draped with girls in short jeans with plump breasts pouting out of ripped wet dripping T shirts
errrrr.....what was I talking about....Oh yes
and it will drive for sure....but maybe not as fast with a stock engine because of the aero....
but hats off to the artists skills.....great fab work
Of course you will publish some pics when its finished....of the car....with the girls...lots of girls

This is the car that is going to be used..... The front I made has been fitted(ish) and the real modification will begin..... Once the weather has warmed up a bit that is

great skills mate
if this ever became a commercially available GRP body kit I would be more than half inclined.....cant wait to see the back end....wish the 308 had come in 2 door coupe tho
I have seen a few 4 doors turned to 2 doors by simply welding and filling but they never look balanced being as the front doors aren't long enough....so wonder what would be the issues in cutting out and repositioning the existing B post a few inches back and doing a cut fill and shut on the door to fill the space....it wouldn't be pillar less coupe as much more work would be needed to strengthen the floor pan and even if it retained the pillar obviously some extra work for changing the normal loading points on the pan that would result from a bigger front door opening......ah well a nice thought...your work will be a fab four door.
