That is lovely work....one day closer to being on the front page of every custom car magazine on the planet .....draped in girls with ripped denim shorts and wet T shirts and......errrrrrrr.....Ive mentioned that before haven't I
Looking good.....but I will say that the long trim on the trunk looks to bulky for the overall lines you are creating...need to be shortened to just extend beyond the width of the number plate recess...or deleted altogether ..but who am I to judge
It does not bother me, I did change it once using an XK trim but I didn't like it, then I did another with a large spoiler, did not like that either so I got another lid which you can see on the car now, I shall be losing the recesses the badges were in and the key release, that will probably change the appearance too.....
As said i'm no judge....however it turns out I will definitely want to see it in the steel...its going to get world attention on the custom car / general Jag fan scene that's for sure....when do you think it will be done

Not sure, I have had to do alot of restoration work and I am sure there is still more to do... I will be building a new front subframe with all new suspension, tricked up looking engine, all as a complete unit.... This includes the big brakes I have done...
X350 Brembos on Alcon discs
Embossed side sill covers all made in steel
Complete new floors all made from scratch
Seat mounting points for the XK seats
The brake setup from the back showing my mounting bracket on the 308 upright
I post more on facebook now to be honest, but I have progressed since I last posted here...
Both sides of the car are now done just need final finishing, I sorted the boot/trunk lid, I then had enough of bodywork for a while and started on the engine for a break but to be fair I have not done much recently and plan to get back on to it very soon I am just waiting on some tools to arrive...
I had to stare at those more recent pictures for a while before I figured out why it looked so odd, since this is the first time I've seen this build... it's down two doors! Will be interesting to see the final result, the rear side glass brings to mind the same area in the later years XJS.
Are those x350 tail lamps just a close bolt in w/ some filling, or were you using the x350 rear side sills to fit them? I always liked the style of those tail lamps in particular.
That engine looks great too metal valve covers or just well painted plastic ones?
Thanks for the update. If it is a Jag forum you update on, which one?
It's actually a facebook group dedicated to the whole build, everything is on there that has been done...

The rear lights are far from a straight forward fit, I basically cut the back off and had to split the wing/fender along its length to pull it out to get the extra width, the boot/trunk lid then had to be reshaped... The coil pack covers are billet aluminium, engraved and polished.
If you facebook take a look, you will have to join the group, it use to be open for everyone to see but I got too many idiots trying to spam so I had to close it. Click on the link below..
