Default newbie post needs gen help

Car> 2001 xj8 - I'm in the los Angeles/ San Diego area of southern CA

i have a few questions. I would like to change my shocks - i like the brand KYB - thoughts suggestions, instructions.

Im in search of drilled slotted roters and really good pads- thoughts? suggestions?

Im trying to find the speaker size for the doors with the alpine premium. does anybody know?

Where is the amp for the alpine premium system? is it tapable?

I want to change the gears in the rear member to make sprinting (0-60)faster does anyone have any leads or thoughts?

Hi,
I don't have any specific suggestions on choice of shocks. I plan to go with Bilstein myself. However, I found this link that might be useful for you:

I put Brembos on the front (plain, not slotted/drilled), and went with the Akebono Euro ceramics as pads. They get lots of love around here. Others like the EBC reds, I tried them and found too much dust was generated. Other rotor brands work good, I also like these guys, their rotors are made in the USA and guarantee them. I bought a front set for my old Jeep GCherokee and they are still doing great. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat.

You can fit 6.5/6-3/4" in the doors with a plate adapter. those alpine components are a weird dimension.

Not sure where it is, mine was in the passenger rear of the trunk, tucked above the navigation and CD changer behind the trunk liner. Of course it's tap-able!
