So not too long ago I bought a 1999 Vanden Plas, no problems with it whatsoever and I got it for a steal so it doesn't surprise me. But I would still like my car to work properly. So as I was turning around at the end of a cul de sac and when I go to straighten the wheel I feel it go hard. So I immediately assume the belt snapped and immediately turned the car off to check. Nothing. Everything is still fine no broken belt no leaking reservoir or anything still clean. So I have no clue what is wrong with it. Can someone help? Thanks, and I'm sorry that's first post rather than being an intro is a problem :/

check the steering control module voltage. min volt to Servotronic valve is 15ma for max assistance as spped increase and 854 mA for min assistance. get high volts through there, then that valve stays open and get min assistance.
but sounds more like be internal pump control pressure valve shot in the power steering pump.
