No start after setting 3 days

Came home from a business trip. Car set for 3 days. My wife started it once to move it while I was gone. Went out the next morning to go to work, and tried to start my 2000 VDP. Car started up for a brief second then quit. When I tried a second time it would not start. Sounded like it was trying to start, but no luck. Took another car to work. Bought a new battery at lunch and installed it tonight. Car cranks, but will not start. Not for sure, but it seems to turn over very easily. When I checked the oil it was low. This is very strange since I change the oil religiously. I have been seeing light smoke in the past, but not enough to register as a problem to me. Any thoughts before I tow it to repair shop.

You clearly identified the cause of the problem; your wife moved the car.
Cars of your era are subject to a 'cylinder wash' on short start up runs. Here is a Jaguar trouble chart:
There is a 'cylinder wash' start procedure here: Help - STARTING CAR - turns over but won't start - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
