Default O2 sensors...recommendations?

Need to replace my upstream 02 sensor on bank 2 which I'm guessing is passenger side. Anyone have a source or part number they have had success with? Thanks guys.

What year is your car?

I recently wrote a thread on this very topic the other day, about replacing X308 upstream O2 sensors with X-Type upstream sensors. You should be able to find it easily on here as it's very recent.

The early X308's had a 2-sensor system & around the 1999 model year they went over to a 4-sensor system.

I have a 2001 XJR with the 4-sensor system & one of the upstream sensors failed, giving fault code P1647-which on UK vehicles is the passenger side & on US vehicles is the driver side.

Code P1646 is for the sensor on the other bank.

The proper X308 sensor was very expensive brand-new from Jaguar, so I did some research & ended up fitting a cheap used upstream sensor from an X-Type, which worked fine.

Anyway, what year is your car? Can't go any further without that info

Mine is a 98. I have codes p0174 and p0151. I get the 151 about once a month usually after adding gas with the car running. Then it runs a lil rough and I can clear the codes and its fine after a couple starts and drives. Then it will do it again next month or so.

These codes definately point towards the front O2 sensor on bank 2.

Bank 2 is the LH side of the engine as viewed from the interior looking forwards, so that's the driver's side on US cars & passenger side on UK cars.

Pain in the *** to reach as the coolant expansion reservoir needs to be removed to allow access.

What's the VIN number of your car?

X308's up to VIN number 853935 used front O2 sensor part number: LJA1680AE
VIN's from 853936 to F06182 used part number: LNE1684BA
VIN's from F06183 used part number: LNE1684BB

819520. So I'm assuming the first part number. Am incorrect to assume this car has 2 sensors?

Yes, it will be the first part number & it was the early European spec X308's that used 2 sensors-from my circuit diagrams & parts fiches the US spec cars had the 4 sensor systems to meet the tighter emissions regulations there.

I bought 2 Denso O2 sensors on Amazon. Replaced both on front of exhaust- cleared codes and a big improvement on how the car runs
