OBD port gives "no sync" message? BCM bad?
Hi All,
The OBD port is not providing any error messages and instead provides a "no sync" message. I am wondering if my BCM is bad as the car doesn't turn over. I think the BCM provides the comment to the ECM to go to ground for the ignition to turn over.
Also, I notice that ebay has some sellers providing the set of BCM, ECM, Instrument cluster and ingnition / ingnition key. I suspect that this a way to get around programming the BCM or ECM individually if that needs to be done like in my situation above. Any merit to that approach. Want to know what to expect if I visit the Jaguar mechanic I use,
Any feedback gratefullly appreciated.

One problem I have occurred in the past in the OBD port connector. In my case it became a bit loose in the little bracket under the dash. So when I pushed the OBD cable onto it, it just did not seat properly which resulted in some contacts not working and thus no sync.
Good luck

I have had similar issues on & off with my scan tool. Innova 3120.
I replaced the 3 batteries & no help.
I tried the OBD2 in another car & worked perfectly.
I checked the Jaguar fuse #4, Dx port. 5A fuse in L heel board & fuse was good.
I fully charged my Battery with CTEK & Voila! OBD2 worked again.
A low battery apparently causes this & other problems even if the battery is charged enough to still start the car.
