I'm thinking snake oil. Their claims are pretty impressive: "Acceleration: Faster 0-60 times Fuel Economy: Up to 2 MPG Increase Horsepower: Up to 30HP Increase Torque: Up to 28.6 ft·lbs added torque Throttle: Up to 50% Better throttle response." What is 50% better throttle response?
When I built my FFR Roadster with a '99 Ford Cobra engine, I sent the ECU to SVT Performance for an ECU reprogramming. This is what the vast majority of builders did. Main reason was to flash out cats and EGR. (Titled as a '65 so didn't have to meet emissions.) Came back with five programs mode controlled by a dial. Modes included: valet (limit RPM to 3000); regular gas; premium gas: burnout box (floor it and revs won't go over a set level, works great with a line lock on front brakes) and launch control (floor it, holds RPM at a set level until clutch released). Can't remember if they made any claims of increased horsepower. If there was, it wasn't a lot. They increased redline on theory the engine can handle more than the factory redline, but that doesn't increase horsepower. They might have changed some things based on non-stock air intake and headers. Again, so long ago I can't remember.
