Yep, they are the cheapest right now, I think. I also get some parts from partsgeek: Look here!

I can afford my car just fine. The air filter fits perfect in the box and works fine. It's been in there a bout 4
Months and I've had no issue. Shaving the rubber off to make it fit to save 10 bucks or more yup I'm game! To each his own. So plums are the fittings serviceable or sealed as this mechanic told me?

Cutting an air filter to make it fit? All that to save a few $ ?.
If you can't afford to buy the correct filter (btw, napa is way more expensive than oreilly, pep boys, etc) for your car, may be you should get rid of your car and buy something you can afford to maintain correctly.
Sorry if my post sound rude but that was such a bad advise. Air filter specs are more than just size, cfm and design are also very important

I suppose another view would be that it's fun and interesting to see alternative solutions/transferable parts in action, another might me that Factory parts tend to be IMHO more expensive and not necessarily better than alternative parts and because it's a Jaguar not necessarily because of the 'better' specification of the parts ie filters - a perception of getting 'ripped off' because of perceived value, not real value seems uncomfortable, to me anyway.....not trying to be difficult, just alternative.....Allan
There is a big difference between using an after-market part designed to replace a genuine Jaguar parts and trying to make a square fit in a circle
