Default Oil connector (no connection)

I have 2 connectors on the oil filter mount 1 is connected 1 is not.
I cannot find another plug on the loom, does anyone have an idea what the connector is for?

It is the oil temperature sender. It lets the ECM know when the oil is warm enough to use the VVT system. It is not present on SC engines.

The other is the oil pressure switch present on NA AND SC.

Shouldn't it be a plug (not a sender) on an original XJR motor?

I am guessing here, not asserting.

Sure .. I even clicked the thanks button. Please note if the blank spot is a plug, of what type, or not machined at all

Interesting... Looks like mine also has a second sensor, but with a blank connector. Maybe so when one dies you can just move the plug? lol.
