old topic on differential oil change
please excuse my laziness, I know it is nothing new but planning to do the differential oil change on my 2000 XJR,
can any one tell me Exactly what oil I would need, how much (by volume) I would need. if I need any extract parts for the good maintenance?
also I/my mechanic need any special instruction manual
thank you

I see mention of Mobile 1 synthetic 75w-90 or 75w-140 with 4 oz of Molyslip.

You may want to take the opportunity to clean the breather on the diff while you're in the neighborhood.
My axle seals were weeping but after soaking the breather in solvent and blowing it dry they seem to have stopped.
I read about someone else here on the forum who found the same thing...
