Unhappy Ouch!!!

Hey Guys (&Gals)

Spun a bearing in my '01 XJ8. I have a '98 good engine in anothr car. Is it a direct swap and/or can it be made to be?
Also, thot of pulling the crank and getting the one journal ground and installing o/s bearings but there seems to be some question of getting ovrsized bearings. Also probably need a new conn rod.

HELP HELP HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Smagl-

I am in the EXACT same position as you, I am looking at
A: Used 2000 engine swap 1998 ancillary parts over (pricey)
B: Used short block from a 2000 swap heads and ancillary over (cheaper)
C: take parts from a damaged 1998 short block in my garage and make this one run again (waay cheaper)

Let me know what you do an how it turns out....I am nervous about repairing this one, but I am looking at a difference in cost of about 2K between fix and replace.
