Ouch, dead motor?
Hi guys, I'm hoping someone got some good news...
I drove my 98 xjr 80-90mph the other day and it was fine. Yesterday I started it up and started hearing what sounds like misfires and the engine was running rough. White smoke was coming out the tailpipe and the low coolant light came on.
Sounds like blown head gasket? Can I even creep it to a shop or does it require a tow?
Thanks for your help.

Well, you are right about hydrolock during the startt, but its highly unlikely after a start. On the other hand, I agree that just trying to start it at all could bend the rod.
I fixed mine myself- the cost was measured in arthritic pain, scraped knuckles, and a few hundred bucks worth of parts! ..And a pissed off wife who lost her parking space for way too long!
