Hey guys. Got the p0456 code yesterday. Car is running fine, despite the code. Should I replace the gas cap?

If it's the cause, yes.

It's not quite running fine, BTW.

What do I to do to diagnose it? I believe a smoke test won't reveal any leaks since it's, "very small", or am I wrong? AFR's are pretty much, or at 14.7 most of the time, btw. But obviously don't want to have the light on.

Check each of the causes it can be - yes one is unsealed gas cap. You could start with that and see if it fixes it. The workshop manual usually lists all the possible causes.

I saw when I searched the code. Good read and thanks! Leaving work Friday, the check engine light was not lit anymore. Never replaced anything. Yes, the light still works. I guess don't worry about it until the light shows back up?

If you don't have a code stored, there is nothing to fix.

Well.... yes - so long as it's not stuck trying to set OBD monitors (it can then be unable to flag codes).
