Default P1111 inlet air temp sensor, location

Hello
I have a pending code of p1111 and it says a fault in the inlet air temp sensor and I was wondering what this could be and where the sensor is located?
Is it in the Mass Air Sensor on the inlet after the air box? Going to try cleaning it and see what happens.
Thank you all

No, P1111 is a standard code for "Emissions Systems Test Completed" it's in all our cars.

You have a P1000 until the cycles have completed then it changes to P1111.

But I get a yellow warning on my meter saying it is not ready for smog test, no green check mark.
And when I look up that code it says IAT intermetant circuit. I looked at the IAT live reading and I see a steady reading then all of a sudden I see a series of spikes......looks just like an intermetant connection.
I have jiggled some wires with the engine running but have not been able to get it to spike.
When driving the spikes seem to come when I hit a bump. Sure looks like an intermettant circuit, but I cant find the sensor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks

OK but that's not what the P1111 is.

Where do you look up this code? Because in every Jaguar document since the 90's and even the Ford master list has P1111 as "System checks complete, system readiness test"

Trust me, the P1111 is not your issue here.

Your device is misleading you.

If all you have is P1111 your car is ready and should be OK.

+2 P1111 is the good code. Every CA inspection station is familiar with that code; you are ready to go. No Check Engine Lights, right? What year and model is your car.

Sounds like your meter (code reader?) is the problem.

again it is a pending code. When I read the IAT data live I see spikes in the moving graph.
2003 XJ8.....which matches what the meter says.......intermittent circuit. Tried rapping on component parts in the area but can not duplicate the spikes.
Am assuming from the responses that it could be the MAF sensor which contains a temp sensor.
I have a ohm meter so can the resistance be measured across the sensor to see if good?
What reading is "good"?
What pins?

If you ignore your code reader which obviously doesn't understand what P1111 is, what problem does the car have?

If you clear a P1111 you are going to go on an extended 'vicious cycle'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Clear the P1111 and you will get P1000. Drive the car until you get P1111, Clear the P1111 and you will get P1000. Drive the car until you get P1111,Clear the P1111 and you will get P1000. OK....forget P1111

My meter is showing spikes in the live data on the IAT.
My meter says "intermittent circuit connection" as a PENDING code.
I want to stop the spikes.
Faulty MAF is my question......????
