Default Parking brake swith normally oper or normally closed?

When the parking brake is not engaged is the switch normally open or normally closed?

Open. As the handle presses it open. Return spring makes contact close.

Think I got it. An uninstalled (uncompressed) switch would be closed. My indicator lights is on when brake not engaged.

Pretty sure the light does fluid level too, so check the master cylinder isn't half empty.
