Default part load breather

this is sort of carried over from the PCV/oil post, where it was suggested to me to replace my part load breather hose.

I'm waiting on the part; but when looking at it, this doesn't look as straightforward as one might think. I'm sure a lot of you have replaced this crummy plastic part before. Does anyone have any tips on how to do this? It's difficult to see where the hose goes from the crankcase. Can this be done by a guy in a garage who does NOT have a lift? Do you have to go at it from underneath the engine, and if so, is it do-able with just some jack stands?

that hose goes from the bank 2 cam cover to under intake then clips into lower throttle body then does a twirl and then goes to purge valve.. no jacks needed.. just the hardest part wud be the clipped part in the lower throttle body they sometimes brake in there and have to be picked out with a long pick. but pretty straight forward..

Yes, there's vacuum---which as you may already know, is actually bad news for me. I need to replace it anyways, because it's cracked (temporarily sealed with a poxy). It's looks like it's going to be a bitch with the supercharger in the way..

Hey Skan,

Why bother? Sounds like your Poxy is going to last longer then Mahle's Nikasil.

Try tieing a piece of string around the old one, if you pull it out. Changing bits like that is always easier if you snake them.
