Passengers door open, but it's not
So I've read up on this and have assumed a faulty microswitch but now I'm not so sure. Car is a 98 xjr. A few nights ago I was woken up by the alarm, which I traced back to the car thinking a door is open. After open and closing all doors it seemed to go away, but then the alarm went off in the work car park the following day.
Working on the basis the door ajar/open microswitch has gone I've had the door cards each passenger door (front and back) and unclipped the miltiplug that goes to the latch. Felt very pleased with myself as I shut the last door and locked the car, only to see the interior light still on key in the ignition, same warning message, passengers door open.
Anyone care to explain this? From.what I understand, that warning should only light when the circuit is complete, by disconnecting the whole unit, surely the car can't see a complete circuit?
Anyone able to point me in the right direction to resolving this?
Thanks,
Craig

Cheers, I guess theres theres now way to get that level of detail otherwise? My most pressing issue is how can the alarm still be triggered if I've reset with the key, disarmed and then disconnected the wiring for each of the passenger door latches? Is there another circuit I'm not aware of?
Thanks,
Craig
